The 7th Annual Charleston Bed Race is set to take place on Sunday, May 1 at the MUSC Health Stadium (formerly Blackbaud Stadium) on Daniel Island. Spoleto Festival USA – May 27 to June 12, 2016

The premier event of the Holy City, the Spoleto Festival draws thousands of performance art enthusiasts from around the world. Gates open at 7 p.m. for all events, and tickets are $10 per person ($8 in advance for Charleston County residents).

The Gibbes Museum Of Art Grand Reopening & Ribbon-cutting Ceremony – May 28, 2016

After closing for an extensive nearly two-year renovation, the Gibbes will reopen with a brand new layout that features free ground floor admission, an increase in gallery space, a state-of-the-art garden, a cafe, and so much more. The event is free and open to the public.

From art and sporting events, to activities made especially for children and families, there’s no shortage of options to indulge in this season.
