Get Fresh
From April through late September of each year, Mt. Pleasant hosts a farmer’s market every Tuesday, 3:30 until 7 p.m. Peruse local wares and some of the freshest produce from farmers and purveyors from around the area. There’s also live music and other performances from local artists and musicians to keep you satisfied well into the evening.
Walk it Out
Burn a few extra calories each week by taking the family on a walk across the Cooper River Bridge. Just over six miles from end to end, you can get a great cardio workout while experiencing the breathtaking views of the river and downtown Charleston skyline. Too beat to walk back? Take a convenient water taxi from downtown back to where you started.

Put on That Party Dress
Throughout the spring, Party at the Point gives people from all around the chance to let loose, mingle with other residents and just have an all-around good time near the water. This year, they’re celebrating their 15th anniversary with a season finale party on June 26. Admission is $10 at the door and there’s also a cash bar, so be sure to bring your dancing shoes.
Go Back in Time
Mt. Pleasant has just as rich of a history as other parts of the city, so be sure to take advantage of historic tours and museum visits throughout the area. From the USS Yorktown at Patriots Point and the Charles Pinckney Historic Site to Boone Hall Plantation and Cook’s Old Field Cemetery, there’s plenty of history to go around.
