Coastal Carolina Fair

Starting the last Thursday in October, and running for 11 days after that, the Coastal Carolina Fair is a long-running tradition for residents from all over the area. Enjoy fun games and rides, great food, and much more. Held at the Ladson Fairgrounds, it’s about a 15-minute drive (with no traffic) from Summerville town center.

Frankie’s Fun Park

With locations in Greenville, Columbia, Charleston, SC, and Charlotte, NC, Frankie’s Fun Park has been a source of fun, for all ages, for decades now. Compete against your friends in a go-kart race, or hit the links for a few rounds of putt-putt golf.

Oakbrook Nature Trail

Opened in July 2014, Oakbrook Nature Trail covers about 12 acres of land near the Summerville Medical Center. Designated as conservation area, the trail is home to many different species of wildlife and plants. 

Givhans Ferry State Park

Found near the town of Ridgeville, about 10 miles away from Summerville, SC, Givhans Ferry State Park gives people direct access to the Edisto River. One of the more popular things to do there is raft floating along the 21-mile waterway. People also canoe and kayak along the designated trail that starts in Colleton State Park. 

Glozone Fun Center

Complete with a laser tag arena for the entire family to enjoy, Glozone is the perfect place to party, regardless of the weather outside. Take part in the LaZer Maze, or try your hand at some glow-in-the-dark miniature golf.
