School’s let out for the summer in most of the country, which means there are potentially thousands of kids without anything productive to preoccupy their time for the next three months. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of five summer camps that your children, regardless of age, will enjoy all through the season:
1. Family Circle Cup Day Camps
Family Circle Tennis Center has been offering summer tennis camps for juniors the last seven years. The camp is designed for the beginning to advanced junior who are looking to improve their game or getting ready for the junior tournament circuit. Juniors will be divided up based on their age and tennis ability.
2. Charleston Battery Summer Camps
The Charleston Battery Junior Day Camp is offered as a week-long camp for boys and girls ages five to 13. The Camp is designed to develop the fundamental techniques of soccer in a fun, learning environment. Campers can attend half-day (9 a.m. to noon) or full day (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.); a full-time certified Athletic Trainer will be on site throughout the camp.
3. Old Santee Canal State Park Seminars
Throughout the summer, Old Santee Canal State Park will offer scheduled tours, seminars and educational classes for small groups and summer campgoers. The staff asks that you make reservations to ensure the best experience.
4. Camp Invention South Carolina
Designed to immerse children of varying ages in STEM-related studies and activities, Camp Invention collaborates with educators around the state to create unique, educational experience for campers all summer.
5. MUSC Kids Boot Camp
This is the perfect introduction to the Ultimate Boot Camp fitness program. The U.S. Marines will lead this "Introduction to Boot Camp" from 6 to 7 a.m., in the main group exercise studio. This introduction is designed to give new Boot Campers a chance to increase their fitness level and lower susceptibility to injury.
It includes the same military fitness experience as the Ultimate Boot Camp. After four weeks, all beginners will be transitioned into the regular Boot Camp class in the gym for the remaining eight weeks.
Making sure that everyone on your family is properly entertained can be difficult at times, but Crescent Homes wants to make sure the experience in The Hammocks at Cane Bay is enjoyable for you and the littler ones in your life, too.
